Apreciadas familias,

On Wednesday, the students did classes as normal, they had a good morning even if they were missing Miguel and Andrea, who stayed at home for the day.

In the afternoon, we all went to war museum, a beautiful museum near the school which is said to have the vest design among museums in the city. We did a guided tour outside the museum to start, and then went inside still with the guide. We then happened to meet the architect of the museum, and we could take some pictures with him.

After that, we had time to visit the inside of the museum by our own, and the students had to compliment two sheets of work in the museum while visiting it. It was a great sunny day!

Biking

On Tuesday morning, all the students went to classes as usual from 9 am to 12 am, with their break from 10:30 to 10:45. They had a great morning full of activities in their classes.

In the afternoon, we went to the biking activity with Marylee and some other individual students. Another group of students went bowling. We rented our bikes by the Rideau Canal in a rental place, and we all put on our helmets for safety.

We then started our ride, going by the Canal to Dow lake, Carleton University and the experimental farm of Ottawa, a farm where the government tests different kinds of crops for the Canadian people to look for the perfect crop with a weather as exigent as Ottawa weather, with high temperatures in the summer and really low ones during winter time.

When we were starting to return to the rental place, we had a little accident by the experimental farm. We were lucky that a car from the security of the farm was nearby and could lend us his first aid kit, so we dressed all the wounds that Miguel and Andrea had.

After that, the rest of the group returned to the rental place and some of them went to have dinner with the Italian group in a restaurant that they found to be really nice.

Carleton University art gallery

On Sunday, we spent the morning with Imma and Pau, we went to watch the change of guards and then went to the highest hill inside the city for sightseeing.

On Monday morning, we were presenting to our classmates the canadian bills. It was really interesting, because we could learn more about the history of Canada.

In the afternoon, we went to Carleton University art gallery. In there, we were watching the pictures about the modern art, and we had to think 3 words about the pictures transmitted to us.

After that, we went to the basement, in where we could do bracelets with some threads and with balls. It was fun!

Museum of Nature and Mosaika

We started the classes as every morning, but this time, after the break, we headed to the auditorium to have the closing ceremony for the group of Colombians and other partners from China, Korea and France. It was in the dinning room, which was decorated for the occasion, where we truly said our goodbyes.

After that, we went to the afternoon activity, nature museum. We visited the different rooms and we also saw a video.

Even though we couldn't finish exploring the whole museum, it was a good activity.

During the night, we went back together for dinner with Imma and Pau, and they invited all of us to the meal. Afterwards, we went to Mosaika, a show in which the history of Canada is projected onto the Parliament Hill

Byward Market

On Thursday, we went to a restaurant for breakfast during class hours together. After that, we went back to school, where they gave us a map and some sheets to fill on Byward Market.

In the market, we had to go in groups to answer questions and when we were done, we had time to go shopping. When the activity finished, the groups that won went to buy candy in a place in the Market.

Calypso water park

On Wednesday, we didn't have classes. It was a special day. We went to Calypso water park. We met at school a little bit before than usual. 8:45. We went to the water park in our swimming costume, flip flops, towel...

At 9:00 pm we caught the bus (the typical yellow school bus), and one hour later we were in the water park. We rode on some attractions, they were good but the park wasn't really big, so we finished a little bit fast. For lunch, I had a burger in a restaurant and it was good.

After this, we went to the lockers and we changed our clothes. Then we went back home at 15:00 pm. At 16:00 pm, we were in the school and we went home. All in all it was a fantastic day!

Laser Quest

On Tuesday, we had normal lessons. In this morning we watched a video about bullying and then we talked with our classmates to find the worst thing of bullying and how can we solve the problem.

After the break, our teacher Patrick, bought some ingredients and recipes and we made pancakes in groups of five. Cooking was really funny and the pancakes were delicious!

At noon, after lunch we went to Laser Quest, a place where we could play laser tag. The game consisted of shooting the other players with your laser weapon to score points. We played two games, and it was exciting. It was a nice day.

Upper Canada Village

On Monday, we didn't have classes because of Upper Canada Village. However, we met at school at 9 am as usual.

We caught the bus at 9:15am and we arrived approximately at 10:45 am. Merylee gave us a sheet with so many questions about the Upper Canada Village and she said: "the group with the most correct answers will get a prize".

2 hours and a half later, we delivered the questionnaire. At 1:45 pm, we had lunch at the restaurant inside Upper Canada Village and just as we finished our lunch, James said to our group that we won because we answered all the questions correctly.

The prize we received was $6 for each person in the group to purchase anything in the Upper Canada Village store, so I bought 2 magnets.

We went back to school by bus. It was a perfect day!

Toronto

On Sunday, we went to visit Toronto, which is an amazing city because it is like NYC, but in Canada. When we arrived, we went directly to the CN tower, where we saw all Toronto.

The view was incredible, but because it was cloudy and raining we couldn't see much. We also went to the glass room, wich was impact full but I liked it. After the tower, we went to visit the Toronto Raptors basketball stadium, which was closed but we saw it from the street and we went to the official shop.

When we finished visiting that, we went to the aquarium. There were a lot of different types of fish and they all were so beautiful.

After that, we traveled for 5 hours until we arrived in Ottawa. It aw an incredible but tiring weekend.

Andrea

Niagara Falls

On July 11th, 2014, we started our trip! We spent 5 hours to go to NiagaraVillage, so all of us were really tired.

When we arrived, we started visiting Niagara Falls. Actually, is the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen in my entire life.

We were so lucky because we could see the falls on a ship, and we could have a fantastic breathtaking view.

We visited the American and the Canadian falls, and I prefer the second one, but both of them are really beautiful. After that, we had free time to stay in the hotel and put our clothes in order.

During the night, we went to the wheel all together, where Imma and Pau invited us, after it, we could see the Niagara Falls at night all illuminated. Actually, it was an amazing trip. It was well worth it!

The beach!

When starting the class, the teacher told us that we were going to do cakes. To do this, we worked until the break with the recipe and we learned how we should do it. Then, we moved to another room and, together with another group, we did made our pancakes. Delicious!

Then it was time to eat, but this time we wouldn't eat at school, we ate out. We went to the beach where everyone showed their skills in volleyball, frisbee and soccer, and some courageous students got into the water.
